What is this system attribute: Exported_Layout_DXL_ALL Attributes_12

We recieved a module archive from outside our company, and within it is a system attribute named "Exported_Layout_DXL_ALL Attributes_12".  We are still on V9.3, so is this something from 9.5, or something else?  This is an object and  DXL attribute and the value (which is blank) is read only.  Obviously as a system attribute it's definition is read only.  Extracting the dxl code comes back blank also.  It wouldn't be a problem, except it crashes the "Refresh DXL Attributes" script on the "Tools" menu, with a "no access to modify" error.  Any ideas?

  • print "Is System: " (ad.system) "\tHiden\t" (ad.hidden) "\tuseraccess\t" (ad.useraccess) "\tAttrDXL\t" (bool ad.dxl) "\n"

Looks like a layout converted to attr-DXL but the accesses are wrong.

Looks like a layout converted to attr-DXL but the accesses are wrong.

Definitely marked as a "System Attribute".  The GUID of the AttrDef even matches a system attribute.  Even as Administrator, I can't change anything.  I agree that it looks like converted layout, but if it is, something went really wrong.  Converted Layout is named  "DXL for <Column Name>", and obviously shouldn't have the System Attribute flag set.

I'll just keep poking around.

[1] I wonder what Partitioned read-only attributes look like.  I don't believe they say "system" but the Administrator cannot modify them.

[2] I have a nagging memory of someone cleverly changing attribute properties back in v8.  Maybe Tony recalls.
